West Africa

The Michelsons work among the Fulbe in West Africa. Because the Fulbe are semi-nomadic Muslims, their lifestyles and system of values is radically different from those of western Christians. Gene and Dawn work with their Fulbe friends in a contextualized fashion and speak the Pulaar language.

An increased interest in literacy has developed recently among the Fulbe. Gene and Dawn are trying to take advantage of this by distributing evangelistic audio cassettes and Christian literature--especially the Pulaar New Testament. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will use this scripture to open Fulbe peoples' hearts to the Good News.
